Established in 2010, Asset Based Lending, LLC is a Hard Money Lender providing fast bridge financing to real estate investors for the purchase, renovation, new construction, or long term refinance of single family, multi-family and mixed use properties. We have closed thousands of loans since we began with total transaction amounts in excess of $2B.

Senior Leadership
Mr. Rodman brings an extensive background in mortgage lending and RE from his 40+ year career.
Prior to joining ABL in 2014, Kevin spent 24 years at Morgan Stanley (MS) as a Managing Director. He led their US Repo business with over $200 billion in assets and built their asset backed warehouse lending business with over $15 billion in mortgage and asset backed loans.
Kevin served as CEO of Saxon Mortgage, a MS subsidiary, and president of MS Home Loans. He was co-Head of MS’s Prime & Alt-A Mortgage Business with over $30 billion in annual production. After departing MS, he served as head of Urban Financial, a reverse mortgage company, and as a Managing Director at Maverick Funding, a NJ based mortgage originator.
Kevin holds a B.A. in Government from Clark University and a M.S. in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
Adam Cohen serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Asset Based Lending (ABL), leveraging over two decades of expertise in finance, accounting and operations to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.
Since joining ABL in 2015, Adam has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s financial and operational strategies. His leadership successfully guided ABL through market challenges, turning obstacles into opportunities for rapid growth and strengthening the company’s market position.
Adam’s prior roles at Cerberus Capital Management and U.S. Bank Global Fund Services provided him with invaluable experience directly applicable to ABL’s business. His expertise in risk assessment, operational efficiency, and strategic financial planning, developed through these roles and over nine years with ABL, has been crucial in optimizing the firm’s lending practices and expanding its market reach.
Adam’s dual degrees in Business and Economics from Skidmore College, combined with his diverse financial services background, make him a respected and trustworthy leader in the industry, particularly adept at navigating the unique challenges of the private lending market.
Daniel Gotay serves as the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets & Treasury at ABL, where he oversees RTL and DSCR whole loan trading, securitization, and warehouse financing. Since joining ABL, Daniel has been instrumental in transacting a collective $1 billion+, including ABL’s 1st securitization (ABL 2023-RTL1).
Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Daniel was a Senior Business Developer at LexisNexis. In this capacity, he managed five on site research teams dedicated to the collection and maintenance of all NYC Civil Court data, showcasing his adeptness in operational infrastructure, data integrity and team development.
Daniel holds a B.A. in Public Relations with a Minor in Management from the State University of New York at Oswego. He also brings a unique perspective from his background in music, having studied alto saxophone at the Juilliard Jazz Pre-College Program
Mr. Yazel began his underwriting career at KBS Realty Advisors where he handled asset management of a 2.5M sq. ft. commercial portfolio consisting, primarily, of office and industrial property. He negotiated 500k sq. ft. of tenant leases and closed $260M in new RE acquisitions.
Jeff consulted for several RE ventures where he honed his team building and management skills and developed a passion for scaling businesses. More recently, Jeff was the Head of Underwriting at a national hard money lender where he underwrote $1B in bridge and rental loans annually.
Jeff has 20 years of experience in debt and equity transactions across several asset classes.
He holds a B.S. of Finance from Bentley University.
William Ash is the Vice President, Head of Technology at Asset Based Lending (ABL), where he leverages his deep expertise in financial modeling and technology to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency. Bill began his career as a data engineer at Cloud9 Smart, a startup where he led the automation efforts that transformed company operations, cost and efficiency.
Advancing rapidly through the ranks at ABL, Bill led all financial modeling projects, while also overseeing IT infrastructure, and eventually building a multi-division technology department. His strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in developing the cutting-edge technology systems that support ABL’s operations today.
A graduate of Midwestern State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. In his personal time, he enjoys racing bicycles, discovering new restaurants, watching movies, and traveling.
Before joining ABL, Alyssa spent five years at Amazon, where she led labor acquisition strategies for 30 sites, including 16 new launches, and designed global hiring risk and compliance programs.
Alyssa Antoci is a strategy execution and talent leader at ABL. She oversees marketing, HR, recruiting, and strategy execution, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic vision and business objectives.
Her role in marketing includes brand strategy, market positioning, and communications, enhancing both internal and external messaging. She also leads talent acquisition and development to build diverse, high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Alyssa holds a B.A. in Human Resource Management and Labor Relations.
Prior to ABL, Mike served 8+ years as General Counsel to a major Manhattan RE retailer, where he spearheaded the development of over 300k sq. ft. of newly-constructed resi/commercial space in Manhattan. He led all legal initiatives at the organization including renegotiation of commercial landlord-tenant-side leases and mortgages during COVID-19. Prior to this, Mike was a RE transaction associate, closing $100s of millions worth of RTLs.
Mike brings 15 years of real estate, construction, and finance experience to his role of SVP of General Counsel at ABL. Mike leads all legal and compliance initiatives within the organization, including efforts related to loan closings, due diligence, title review and verification, data collection, loan warehousing, and regulatory compliance.
Mike graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Political Science and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Johnson brings extensive experience in loan originations, loan servicing and enterprise risk management in his 40-year career.
Before joining ABL, Pete previously worked on the senior leadership team at Cenlar FSB, with $837B under management. Prior to Cenlar, he was Chief Operating Officer for a top Credit Union Servicing Organization (CUSO) from 2018 – 2022. Pete also served on several executive leadership positions in for Two River Community Bank, PHH Mortgage and Freedom Mortgage.
Pete attended Temple University majoring in Elementary Education and Philosophy.
Mr. Viganola is the Head of Sales at Asset Based Lending, carrying over 14 years of experience with an expertise in account management, strategy development, and market analysis.
Before joining ABL, Joseph was a top-producing manager at Cardinal Financial. During his tenure, he founded HQ Commercial Capital, a mid-sized commercial lending brokerage that achieved over $250 million in sales. Joseph has been featured in Top Agent Magazine and has held multiple board seats across various local non-profits. He has received a Certification of Commendation from the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders and has earned multiple awards for sales growth.
Joseph holds a B.A. in Finance & Economics from Ramapo College of NJ, is NMLS licensed in 14 states and a licensed realtor in NY & NJ.

Paul Lewis brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the world of specialty finance, especially alternative financing in the Florida market. In his career, he has closed in excess of $200M in commercial bridge financing, and north of $100M in specialty factoring. A native New Yorker, Paul has lived and worked in Florida for almost 10 years, where he has formed a solid network of real estate and finance professionals. Aside from finance, Paul has managed sales teams and mentored many sales people, from recent college grads, to young professionals transitioning from other industries. His approach to success is hinged on the success of his clients and their respective projects. Paul currently lives in the Palm Beach Area with his new wife, Kristen.
Nick Tierno joined the ABL team as part of the Term Rental Loan team. He started his loan origination career by graduating from the University of Delaware in 2017 as a student athlete that was part of the university’s baseball team. From there he worked for PHH Mortgage as a residential Loan Officer and earned top producer status within four months of his employment. Nick re-located to Hoboken in 2018 to work briefly in the sports management business before returning to PHH in 2020. Nick’s three years of loan origination experience across a variety of investment opportunities will help ABL borrowers understand their term rental loans and feel confident in the lending process from start to finish.
A graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Kyle began his career in real estate working for a national consulting firm that specialized in environmental and engineering due diligence for commercial real estate transactions. Kyle moved on to work for a local hard money lender as the outside sales manager for several years before going out on his own in 2020 as a full-time investor, agent and broker. As an investor, he has built new construction, flipped homes, rehabbed rentals to hold and completed condo conversions for vacation rentals. He has a personal portfolio of over 50 units and understands the day-to-day struggles and needs of the ABL borrowers he serves today.
Sam joined ABL in 2019 as an Operations Analyst before moving to the sales team to become a Loan Officer. He graduated from Baruch College in 2015 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance where he also minored in Business Communications. Prior to joining ABL Sam worked for a subsidiary of Perdue Farms in a business development and operations role and began his career in the real estate industry when he joined Urban View Development as a Construction Coordinator.
Michael Chadwick joined Asset Based Lending as a Vice President and Area Manager in December 2020, bringing with him over 20 years of real estate and financial services experience in the New England area. Prior to ABL, Michael was responsible for developing and directing the day to day operations for a private lender in the north east where he led the origination and underwriting of over $150 million in loans across 5 states. In addition to Michael’s hard money lending and commercial finance background, Michael has hands on experience as a real estate investor having led a private investment firm through the acquisition and renovation of approximately 150 homes throughout New England.
Michael is an expert in managing hard money loans for real estate, with experience in assets ranging from single-family fix and flips to 7-figure multi-family new construction projects and everything in between. His skillset spans many aspects of real estate lending including underwriting, property valuation and analysis, and even construction draw management. His dedication and personal touch have cultivated strong business relationships with his borrowers throughout the years, meshing perfectly with ABL’s lending culture.
Scott graduated from the University of Delaware with his Bachelor’s in Economics. He also played for the school’s baseball team. After graduating he joined State Farm as an insurance salesman, leading his team in sales every month. He now works as a loan officer for ABL’s term team, helping our borrower finance their DSCR rental loans across the country. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, movies, and is a huge fan of music.

Mailena Garcia joined the ABL team in 2021 as a Loan Officer to help manage the firm’s growth in the Florida market. Her previous experience includes several years in leasing and property management where she discovered her passion for the real estate business and became an expert on industry details. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate with borrowers in their preferred language. Mailena has been a Florida native for most of her life: she was born in Cuba and moved to Florida when she was 9 years old, residing in Jacksonville to this day. When she is not at work, she enjoys traveling and reading.
Boris graduated from the CUNY Macaulay honors college with a Bachelors in Business Administration and Economic., Before joining ABL, he was a real estate agent doing residential and commercial sales as well as the property manager of a 300 unit co-op complex. Now, Boris represents ABL in NJ and CT, helping real estate investors secure financing for their projects.
Kevin Mohollen graduated from the University of Delaware with an MBA in Accounting where he played baseball for the duration of his time there. He began his career in the financial advisory space, working with companies such as Vanguard, SEI, and the startup Pontera. Now, Kevin uses his experience to help real estate investors secure the proper financing needed to grow & scale their business. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing any chance he gets and celebrates his love of sports by cheering for all Philly sports teams.
Seth has been involved in private capital industries for 20 years, becoming an expert in finance and lending. For the last 7 years, he has been helping real estate investors finance their projects, with a strong focus on speedy closings. Seth specializes in building strong relationships, analyzing deals, and quickly determining suitability for his clients.
Before joining Asset Based Lending, Greg attended Indiana University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Finance with a focus on real estate. Since 2004, he’s completed over $3 billion in transactions as a real estate professional across the lending and investing space. He has experience with a global PE firm, represented buyers and sellers of commercial real estate, and helped scale a private lending platform. Now, he helps real estate investors across Tennessee receive the fast and reliable financing that only ABL can offer. Greg is a huge fan of traveling and has visited 62 different countries!
Sheira studied information technology at the University of Albany where she graduated with a bachelor’s in science. During her collegiate years she had the opportunity to study abroad and spent her final year Madrid Spain. She previously worked at a startup company and an insurance company. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and experience new restaurants and cuisine.

Torin Francis graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s in Marketing. He spent his college years as a starting member of the Fighting Irish basketball team. After graduating he continued playing on a professional level for 15 years, allowing him to travel and play for 15 countries. In 2020, Torin’s passion for real estate brought him to the residential mortgage industry, and eventually to joining the ABL team. He is a fluent Spanish speaker.

Paul has 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry across every single role, bringing a depth of personal knowledge and expertise that few have in the business. He received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Lynn University and started out as a loan opener for Americas Best Lending Network where he continuously worked his way up from processor to underwriter, to sales manager, and eventually President of the company. Outside of work, Paul has three incredible daughters, including twins who are on collegiate volleyball scholarships and one currently training to be a financial planner. received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Lynn University
Before joining at ABL Hudson was a student at the University of Denver. During his time there he worked closely with entrepreneurs program. When he wasn’t in class he was on the mountains snowboarding or mountain biking.
Before joining Asset Based Lending Mike was a Business Development Representative for another hard money lender, where he focused mainly on successfully growing loan volume for the firm in the major Texas markets of Dallas, Austin, Houston and others. Prior to that he dabbled around in property management, tax delinquent land acquisition, and brokering hard money loans.
Before joining ABL, Matt worked as a Loan Officer at another hard money lender. He lives outside of Chicago, IL and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received an MBA from Roosevelt University In Chicago. Before being in the business purpose loan investment space he was in the sub prime residential mortgage space as well as Logistics and Supply Chain. He is married with three kids and two adopted retired Sled Dogs from Steamboat Colorado we were trained for the Iditarod Race in Alaska.

Andrew is a seasoned professional with a background in lending, banking, and strategic marketing across North and South Carolina. Prior to joining ABL, he successfully produced and managed a team of loan officers focused on broker on boarding at a nationwide lender, spearheading loan data analysis and trade show campaigns. Andrew has a BA in Business Administration from Furman University and played a pivotal role in launching a student program by Gallup’s StrengthsQuest assessment, now integrated with incoming student orientation. Beyond his work in private lending, Andrew enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his partner and rescue dog.
